Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and maintaining the high quality of our products. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery, ensuring all are operating at peak efficiency. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical understanding and advanced skills in metal treatments and manufacturing.
Responsibilities: 1. Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of manufacturing equipment, identifying and resolving any potential issues before they escalate. 2. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. 3. Apply advanced knowledge of metals treatments and manufacturing in the maintenance and repair of equipment. 4. Utilize a deep understanding of machines and tools to carry out repairs and installations efficiently and safely. 5. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the life and improve the efficiency of our manufacturing equipment. 6. Use mechanical and electrical skills to diagnose and repair faults in machinery and equipment. 7. Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring they are set up correctly and safe to operate. 8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions. 9. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
Qualifications: 1. Advanced knowledge and experience in metals treatments and manufacturing. 2. Proven ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of manufacturing equipment. 3. Strong technical understanding, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment. 4. Excellent knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 5. Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently. 6. Experience in preventive maintenance and the ability to identify potential issues before they escalate. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner. 9. A relevant qualification in a technical field would be advantageous.
